Digital approach of art curating, exhibiting and educating masses
With a promising start, I had the honor of curating exquisite paintings of Pakistani masters at Gallery One62. Another milestone was to curate ‘Ahang 2020’, a show of video installations at Karachi Literature Festival 2020, sponsored by Bank Al Falah showcasing several international artists. Other sponsors were PayPro and SRM Couture.
Being a curator for years, I had access to several international artists, Pakistani renowned contemporary artists and now private collections, All I had to do is to launch my online art gallery which provides a portal for artists to exhibit and promote work online. Hence I launched my curated online art gallery with featuring contemporary and renewed artists of Pakistan and several international artists with diversity of mediums as well as genre online at your convenience.

After lockdown started, Sadequain Foundation hired me to execute a series of videos to educate our masses about our legendary artist Sadequain on my YouTube channel. This series had eight episodes about his work of murals and detailed analysis of his style of painting. Continuing with the digital medium of educating our audience about the contemporary art scene and my curatorial work, now I am producing a video every week on my channel for the series called ‘Behind the Art scene’. In this series, I cover news of Pakistani artists, required practices of the art market and the art history of Pakistani masters so do subscribe , share and comment to support this initiative. I have now reached 460 subscribers in only a few months. A big thanks to my subscribers. You can be one too by clicking on this link.
During a year of social distancing I found an amazing place in Karachi called Club 432 to exhibit last of my first project based on artworks produced during art classes conducted at Machar Colony, The Orange Tree Foundation and AAS trust. We raised 25 K by selling their art works for these children. Considering the genre of my artistic practice which is provocative for the purpose of art activism, I have exhibiting internationally since 2009 and rarely in Pakistan. This year, my work has been exhibited among 52 other artists at Gallery MCube, Katmandu , Nepal with a good review in Katmandu post.

From an ultra social life style , and hosting my own events to social distancing, I only attended one event organized by Dolmen Mall as a judge of art competition for children. Regarding working from home, I already have a studio setup where I live, work, think, produce, and breath art. My work station for curating, studio for painting and a physical place for online art gallery is located in Phase 6, DHA, Karachi. I confined myself to my own space and spend the longest period ever this year which proves to be blessing in disguise for 2020. Now after a reset in 2020, we have better and bigger plans for 2021, I wish you a very happy new year.
